1. Reviewing the Sitemap

1.1 Guidance on Confirming Your Website Structure

Before the design phase begins, we prepare a Sitemap that outlines the structure of your website.

The sitemap shows:

  • All pages that will be included
  • How pages are organised
  • The navigation structure visitors will use

Reviewing and approving the sitemap ensures that the website includes all required pages before design work begins.

1.2 Accessing the Sitemap

When reviewing the sitemap, please check the following:

1.2.1 Page Structure

Ensure all required pages are included, such as:

  • Home
  • About
  • Services / Facilities
  • News / Blog
  • Contact

1.2.2 Navigation Flow

Consider whether the navigation is clear and logical for visitors.

Questions to ask:

  • Are pages grouped logically?
  • Can visitors easily find important information?
  • Is the structure simple and easy to follow?

1.2.3 Page Naming

Check that page names are accurate and appropriate.

For example:

  • “Services” vs “Our Services”
  • “Schools Programme” vs “School Tours”

1.3 Requesting Changes

If changes are required, you can:

  • Reply directly to the email
  • Provide a list of updates
  • Suggest additional pages or renaming of sections

Our team will update the sitemap accordingly.

1.4 Approval

Once the sitemap is confirmed and approved, the project moves to the content collation stage.

Approving the sitemap ensures that the content and design phase proceeds efficiently without structural changes later in the project.
